Gospel Voice Magazine, a Houston, Texas based lifestyle publication putting a fresh spin on spirituality, relationships, politics, finances, work, food, health and more, is sponsoring the sixth annual stop THE violence THINK Education Put God First Youth Empowerment 4 Destiny Benefit Scholarship." This three-hour concert and conference merges celebrities and youths under one roof. The focus is to holistically empower our youths to succeed.

(PRWEB) August 23, 2003 -- Gospel Voice Magazine, a Houston, Texas based lifestyle publication putting a fresh spin on spirituality, relationships, politics, finances, work, food, health and more, is sponsoring the sixth annual stop THE violence THINK Education Put God First Youth Empowerment 4 Destiny Benefit Scholarship." This three-hour concert and conference merges celebrities and youths under one roof. The focus is to holistically empower our youths to succeed.

This years show is hosted by Flex Alexander of UPNs sitcom One on One, his wife singer/songwriter Shanice Wilson and the cast of One on One. In the past the show has featured popular celebrities and gospel artists such as: Chris Tucker, Tia and Tamera Mowry, the cast of UPNs Sitcom The Parkers, Guy Torry, Tonex, Virtue and many more.

This year they will be saluting Will & Jada Pinkett Smith with the Just Two of Us Foundation Award," Bernie Mac with Youth Empowerment 4 Destiny Award," and Bishop Noel Jones Man of Wisdom Award." Past Honorees include comedian/actor Chris Tucker, actor/radio personality Steve Harvey, actor Lorenz Tate and many others.

Scheduled to perform in the 2003 youth concert are: EMI Recording Artist Darwin Hobbs and 2003 Stellar Award Winner New Artists Trin-i-tee 5:7 and much more.

Gospel Voice Magazine in a joint effort with this event will bring awareness to the community and re-direct todays youths negative energy into positive deeds. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Bishop Noel Jones Scholarship Fund. Over the past five years, numerous scholarships have been awarded through this foundation.

This star-studded event takes place on Saturday, September 27, 2003 at City of Refuge Church located at 14527 South SanPedro, Gardena, California. Doors open at 5:00 p.m.
