PEGASUS AMERICA'S PC NOTETAKER(TM) SIMPLIFIES CAPTURE, USE OF HANDWRITTEN NOTES & DRAWINGS
PC NoteTaker Adds Myriad Options To Digitally Recorded Handwritten Notes, Illustrations
PLEASANTON, CA (PRWEB) August 25, 2003 -- Pegasus America, Inc. today announced the availability of its debut digital handwriting capture device, PC NoteTaker(TM).
PC NoteTaker (Nationally Advertised Value: $79) epitomizes the company's dedication to being the handwriting capture category leader by combining a pocket-sized pen and clip with advanced digital technology that allows users to write, in their natural handwriting, on any piece of paper, and instantly capture their handwritten notes and illustrations for insertion in documents, e-mail and Instant Messages.
"For all the improvements in digital technology, end-users still prefer to take notes the natural way - with pen and paper," said Kirk Matsuo, Vice President of Marketing, Pegasus America, Inc. "With PC NoteTaker, any note or drawing hand-written by the end-user is instantly saved for immediate or future use in any number of ways, and in most commonly used applications such as word processing and e-mail."
Once the software is loaded on a PC running Windows(TM) 98 or higher, end-users need only attach the clip to a piece of paper, and take notes with the proprietary digital pen. As notes are written on the page, they appear on-screen in the user's natural handwriting, and are saved within the application.
A Page of Notes, An Array of Options
In addition to saving files for future use, PC NoteTaker lets users instantly capture notes and drawings for instant placement in programs such as Microsoft(TM) Word(TM) and Powerpoint(TM). When the PC NoteTaker toolbar button is pressed, a movable box is highlighted within the open document. Handwritten notes and drawings appear within the box, which can then be moved elsewhere in the document, and ultimately saved within the file.
Consumers can even send a personalized Outlook(TM) e-mail by clicking the PC NoteTaker button and handwriting a message. For example, a map can be drawn into the body of a message, or new product concepts may be sent for a colleague's input, with a handwritten signature added to confirm approval. The notes appear in the body of the e-mail, not as an attachment.
"Sticky notes" may also be created by dragging notes from the Notes Manager program to the desktop view, alongside other desktop shortcuts. Additionally, notes may be copied and pasted into other programs similar to nearly any file or image.
Other benefits unique to PC NoteTaker include a "notes reminder," causing a note to appear on-screen at a pre-specified date and time. It even offers a "snooze" function that will cause the note to re-appear within a few minutes.
"PC NoteTaker makes it easy to capture, store, and retrieve information without having to sort through reams of paper," added Matsuo. "The combined benefits of extreme portability and countless features make this product an asset for anybody who records handwritten notes or drawings on a regular basis, especially students, businesspeople, and professionals."
