SoBig.F COULD HAVE BEEN STOPPED

The worlds worst ever e-mail virus -- SoBig-F -- could have been stopped according to UK based Security Company avecho.

August, 2003 -- The re emergence of the Sobig (W32/Sobig.f@MM) email borne virus is causing concern and damage to all internet users. It's appearance and the inability of current anti virus to protect us is both predictable and frustrating. Yet again a highly disruptive attack has hit The Internet and the traditional anti virus companies have failed to protect us.

Trend show 307,000 infections in the last seven days and AOL were reporting that 60% of their emails processed were infected with Sobig.
