InfoEdge Technology Launches InfoDox Version 7
Major Release of Leading Secure, On-line Document Repository Offers Powerful New Information Collaboration and Customization Features
Austin, TX (PRWEB) August 26, 2003 -- InfoEdge Technology, Inc., a nationwide discovery management and support firm, today announced a feature-rich upgrade of its secure, on-line document repository, InfoDox. InfoDox offers the legal industry and other document-intensive organizations a convenient and cost-effective means of organizing, accessing and sharing document collections securely over the Internet.
With the new features of Version 7, many of which have been in use by InfoDox users for some time, InfoDox users benefit from improved collaborative tools, a highly configurable security model for case notebooks, shared image annotations, and more.
Customizable Electronic Notebooks
A new security model governs Electronic Notebooks in InfoDox Version 7, providing greater flexibility for sharing user-designated subsets of the document repository. Another new feature, Notebook Favorites, allows users to quickly add and remove documents across multiple Notebooks in a single operation.
Shared Image Annotations
To improve collaborative review of redacted or otherwise annotated documents, users now have the ability to create, store and share image annotations in one or more Annotation Groups, which are hosted on the InfoDox server. Additionally, when submitting a document hard-copy production request, users can elect to have annotations from a selected Annotation Group burned in" to image printouts.
Focused Search with QuickTerms
To expedite a privilege review, the QuickTerms feature enables users to quickly highlight instances of a phrase, or a set of phrases, in the text of a document. Terms can be entered on the fly or loaded from saved lists.
Configurable Browse Tree
With this new functionality, the InfoDox repository Browse Tree can be nested to any number of levels. This affords users more flexibility in organizing documents into groups, providing a quick and easy way to drill down into the repository.
Functionality and Performance Enhancements
A number of additional improvements accompany the release of InfoDox Version 7, such as document-level security, document production history tracking, faster report generation and downloads, expanded search functionality and user search histories.
For litigation professionals routinely dealing with document-intensive litigation, InfoDox Version 7 is a pivotal and strategic tool in the discovery management process. InfoEdge is participating at LawNet 2003, August 18-21, in Boca Raton, Florida (Booth #214).
