New York Advertising Expert Opens Site for Free Advice
Kimberley Freeman has set up shop as a freelance copywriter via a new web site offering free advice to business owners.
Buford, GA (PRWEB) August 26, 2003 -- After moving from the heart of NYC to the green countryside of Buford, Georgia, Kimberley Freeman has set up shop as a freelance copywriter via a new web site offering free advice to business owners.
"I saw too many little companies trying to save money on advertising costs by doing their own ads," said Ms. Freeman who opened Zag Studios. "Even if they dont want to use my services, Im trying to help them understand the concepts behind ads that get results."
Ms. Freeman should know-shes worked for clients that range from Godiva Chocolates to Burger King, BMW to Honda. "You can always spot a home-made ad," she says. "They generally try to cram in every little bit of information they can fit," says Freeman. "They put in so much detail, no one reads the ad at all."
Freeman believes that in most advertising and marketing efforts, less is more. "Theres an old saying," she continues, "that you cant stand for something if you chase after everything. My first piece of advice to clients is pick a key message and stick to it."
The philosophy behind developing that important key message is offered free at www.zagstudios.com in the column called ADvice.
Many companies are finding the free advice useful - and contacting Freeman after their own initial efforts have failed. "Thats okay," says Freeman. "Because theyre a whole lot more receptive to my suggestions once theyve seen that there is indeed a science to advertising. It may not be rocket science, but it is a form of brain surgery!"
Freeman put her degree in English and Psychology to good use in creating strategies for clients-and in naming her company "Zag Studios." The idea behind the name is pure psychology; "When everyone else zigs" Freeman says, "I zag."
