Houston's 21 year-old Grey Party premiers its new weekend GLBT fundraising event STEEL WEEKEND with the music of Dancestar Awards Best DJ 2003 Sandra Collins, Susan Morabito of NYC, and Miami's DJ Steel.

THREE BIG PARTIES, to be held at three separate downtown locations, fill out the weekend offering, with continuous laser shows and entertainment that the all-volunteer non-profit group promises to be spectacular.

The main party STEEL at Rich's Nightclub on Saturday, October 11th (9 pm to 9 am), features the hard, progressive sounds and sublime trance mixes of Sandra Collins, billed as a twelve-hour stretch of men, women, dancing and fun, and framed by Friday's IRON (9 pm to 2 am) with DJ Steel's combo of high energy house and light Latin rhythms at the upscale, four-story M Bar on Main, and the event's closing-party GREYSTEEL, Sunday night (5 pm to 2 am) featuring Susan Morabito's distinctive, creative artistry at the legendary Numbers Nightclub in gay-Montrose, site of the first Grey Party in 1983.

Advance prices are $ 15 IRON, $35 STEEL, $20 GREYSTEEL. Door prices are $5 additional. VIP Passes, which include the brunch at Houston's fashionable 1415 Bar and Grille on California Street, a limited edition STEEL WEEKEND 2003 T-shirt, VIP lounge access and discounted drinks are priced to sell-out at $100 each. ALL PROCEEDS RAISED BY STEEL WEEKEND WILL BE DONATED to five greater Houston area GLBT charities, including Bering Omega Community Services, the Lesbian Health Initiative of Houston, the Montrose Clinic HIV-Testing Program, Milam House (AIDS Coalition of Houston), and the Montrose Counseling Center LIFE Program.
