THE SECOND ANNUAL AMERICAS RIDE TO BENEFIT THE WORLD TRADE CENTER MIRACLES FOUNDATION ROARS ACROSS AMERICA

Hundreds of Motorcycle Riders Unite to Ride From Los Angeles to New York. August 31-September 11, 2003.

LOS ANGELES, CA (PRWEB) August, 2003 -- The Second Annual Americas Ride to benefit the World Trade Center Miracles Foundation will assemble hundreds of motorcycle riders on a coast-to-coast journey designed to assist and build awareness for those who have been forgotten in the tragedy of 9/11, and to involve and unite the entire country in a great cause.

The twelve-day event joins Americans from all walks of life together to help, heal and unify our nation. The event will include celebrity riders and participants such as Orange County Choppers, Dishwalla, Chris Judd, Madusa, and many others as well as people directly affected by 9/11 and hundreds of Americas Ride participants. The ride begins in Los Angeles on August 31 and ends at Ground Zero in New York City on September 11. The trip includes stops in Las Vegas, NV. Sedalia/Denver, CO., Kearney, NE., Omaha, NE., St. Louis, MO., Danville, Ill.,Cleveland, OH., New Castle, PA., Shanksville, PA., Washington D.C., Philadelphia, PA. and New York City.

Americas Ride was created as a fundraising event for the World Trade Center Miracles Foundation. The foundation is a source of aid for those individuals whose lives were challenged by the 9/11 attacks and its aftermath. They collect funds for present needs, while building additional resources to prepare for the future.

It is my hope to put together a charitable organization that would make a difference based upon the principle of 'people helping people in need," said Mitchell Morrison, creator of the World Trade Center Miracle Foundation. I was blown away by Americas response to last years ride and look forward to an even bigger and better event this year."

There are five different categories of assistance from the foundation: Adopt a Family, Childrens Relief Fund, Ground Zero Medical Fund, Terrorist Attack Relief Fund and U.S. Military Relief Fund.

The World Trade Center Miracles Foundation is the only charitable foundation where individuals, corporations and other charities can direct designated contributions" toward individual families, children, firemen, police officers, volunteer and military personnel who have fallen through the cracks." Although millions upon millions of dollars were raised after the attack on 9/11 to cover the immediate disaster, there was very little, if any concern about the long-term effects an individual or family may encounter. Unknown to many, there are still countless people in dire need due to the terrorist attack and its repercussions. The tragedy behind this is the majority of these victims are still struggling to take care of their basic human needs, not having the opportunity to reflect on their losses and begin to heal.

Like the early days of our countrys expansion, the ride is likened to the old barn-raising event when a neighbor needed help to get back on his feet. It is a grass roots community effort where everyone can participate on whatever level they deem fit. An opportunity to be apart of our countrys heritage, to be apart of what it means to be a neighbor and to partake in what is innately inside of all of us: the desire to give and to express our humanness in that giving.
