Warning - Astrologer Predicts August 27/28, 2003 as a Critical time for the World. Expect the Unexpected.
The Planets are gathering forces, with Mars closest to the Sun on August 27, and opposing the Sun the next day. Also, there is an awesome planetary line up -- with Mercury going Retrograde. What can we expect? Astrologer, Chrissie Blaze, says: "Expect the Unexpected."
August 28, 5:59 PM Greenwich time - Mars opposes the Sun.
August, 2003 -- According to Space.com, Mars will be within 34,646,418 miles (55,758,006 kilometers) of Earth on the 27th. "This will be the closest that Mars has come to our planet in nearly 60,000 years."
Astronomers are excited and have seen Mars in the night sky as so much larger and brighter than before, brighter even than Jupiter and all the stars, and outshone only by the Moon and Venus.
But what does this mean to us from an astrological point of view? As you might expect, Mars is more powerful in it influence when it comes closer to Earth (known as Perihelion)
One astrological study found that a hard" aspect such as the opposition we will see on August 28, between the Sun and Mars, the planet of aggression, is violence. I doubt we are surprised.
When Mars is also retrograde (appearing to go backwards) as it is at the present time, (and this is also the day when Mercury goes retrograde - see my book "Mercury Retrograde: Your Survival Guide to Astrology's Most Precarious Time of Year") it has been found that there are more violent events than expected --four times as many in fact.
On August 28, the Sun is joined by Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and the Moon. Opposite them is Mars and Uranus, with Saturn and Pluto also in the picture.
Astrologically, this is almost like seeing the good guys vs. the bad guys.
The planets are telling us is to integrate growth, love and spirituality through service on the one hand, and courage to change on the other. This may not be as utopian as we might think because, first and foremost, we (humanity) hates to change and will do anything it but will instead strike out at others when change comes along.
It could be a very difficult time for the world, and already is. We can probably expect some havoc and lots of unpleasant surprises, natural and man-made, on the world stage. Also, expect to see sneaky, surprise attacks and underhand attacks, such as the truck bomb at the UN headquarters, or a sniper. There may be even more confusion and chaos -- see Iraq situation and even more unsettled climate there among the troops. Communications could go awry.
Basically on August 28 we can expect the unexpected and only love and prayer can really save us.
