TRANSVERSAL APPOINTS NEW CEO

Cambridge-based software company, Transversal, today announced the appointment of Gerard Buckley as CEO. Transversal provides web-based customer support that enables clients such as Sony, Direct Line, Fujifilm, and MFI to automatically resolve the majority of customer queries online.

(PRWEB) August 28, 2003 -- Cambridge-based software company, Transversal, today announced the appointment of Gerard Buckley as CEO. Transversal provides web-based customer support that enables clients such as Sony, Direct Line, Fujifilm, and MFI to automatically resolve the majority of customer queries online.

Gerard has over 19 years of international management experience in the financial services, business information services and knowledge management software sectors. He joins Transversal to further the company's strategic development and build on its rapid growth.

Most recently as MD of Pischler Electronica SA, Gerard was instrumental in increasing turnover by 300 percent in 18 months. Previous to this he was CEO of Ncorp Ltd, a knowledge management software start-up, and spin-off from Autonomy plc. Gerard's leadership roles also include positions as Group MD at Thomson Financial Europe and CEO of Garban Information Systems Group (GIS), where as part of the management team he floated Garban plc on the London Stock Exchange.

Gerard's marketing experience includes six years at the London Metal Exchange as MD of market data services and head of information technology, as well as the role of director of marketing and information technology at Dun & Bradstreet.
