AMERICAN NATIONAL RED CROSS
Herndon, VA (PRWEB) August 28, 2003 -- (OTCBB:INFD) -- Infodata Systems, a leading enterprise content management solutions company, today announced it has been awarded a contract by The American National Red Cross to implement a Content and Document Management System (CDMS) at The Red Cross Biomedical Services Headquarters in Washington D.C. and the National Testing and Reference Laboratory (NTRL) in Charlotte, North Carolina. Infodata will establish a content management services layer within the CDMS environment to deliver Content Review and Content Assembly and Publishing solutions for The Red Cross.
The American Red Cross Biomedical Services (ARCBS), which is responsible for collecting, manufacturing, and distributing the blood supply for much of the United States, must ensure that their policy and procedural documents are accurate and complete, and that they are maintained and accessed in a controlled environment. The CDMS environment for The Red Cross will provide content and document management functionality for a controlled set of documents. Infodata will utilize several third party applications during the implementation, as well as its own AnnoDocä Content Review product, to deliver solutions for reviewing and approving content; automated XML tagged content for retrieving and repurposing information; and automated versioning and security to control distribution both for regulated and non-regulated documents.
Infodata has extensive experience in providing solutions that foster compliance for Government agencies," said Edwin Miller, president and CEO of Infodata Systems. Our deep domain experience with enterprise content management, as well as our content management services layer that delivers products and services around solutions, will ensure highly effective content and document processing from within The Red Cross content management system."
Due to the critical nature of the The Red Cross mission and regulatory environment, an effective content and document management system is tremendously important to ensure that our policy and procedural documents are effectively created, reviewed, utilized and securely maintained," said Carol Genseal, Senior Director, Support Operations, The Red Cross. Infodata was selected because of their long history in successfully delivering effective content management solutions."
