Xcalibur, a provider of software applications and IT consulting services, recently announced the appointments of Andrew K. Milne and Paul H. Parry to its management team. Milne joined the firm in January 2003 as Senior Vice President, Health Sciences with Parry coming on board as Chief Technology Officer this month. They complete the companys reorganization efforts, which began with the appointments of John C. Schott as Chief Executive Officer, and Xcalibur founder and former CEO Jim K. Brown as President in July 2002.

Xcalibur Announces Recent Appointments of Management Team Milne and Parry Selected as Senior V.P., Health Sciences and Chief Technology Officer, respectively

HERNDON, VA (PRWEB) August 26, 2003 -- Xcalibur, a provider of software applications and IT consulting services, recently announced the appointments of Andrew K. Milne and Paul H. Parry to its management team. Milne joined the firm in January 2003 as Senior Vice President, Health Sciences with Parry coming on board as Chief Technology Officer this month. They complete the companys reorganization efforts, which began with the appointments of John C. Schott as Chief Executive Officer, and Xcalibur founder and former CEO Jim K. Brown as President in July 2002.

Milne is responsible for directing the companys ongoing health science collaborations as well as the implementation of Xcaliburs health science consulting practice. Prior to joining Xcalibur, Milne spent over five years conducting biotechnology equity research. Most recently, he served as Managing Director at RBC Capital Markets. Previously, Milne performed clinical trial research for the National Cancer Institute, working on gene therapy trials. He also acted as a biotechnology patent examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office, focusing on patents within the oncology, immunology, and infectious disease sectors. Milne earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from Michigan State University. He then went on to obtain his Masters degree in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University.

Parry serves as Xcaliburs Chief Technology Officer, concentrating on the development and implementation of complex software architectures for both UNIX and Windows platforms. Additionally, he will lead Xcaliburs technical team as they acquire intellectual properties from within the companys existing solutions. Prior to joining the firm, Parry oversaw the E-Business Systems group at GTSI Corp. Parry also served as Chief Technology Officer for Rocketworks LLC, a Maryland incubator of Internet businesses and eventually, its Reston-based successor, VERIS Consulting. Additionally, he has gained a wealth of experience designing and building technology solutions for clients including American Express, Capital One, Scudder Kemper Investments and the American Plastics Council as well as subsidiaries of the Marsh and McLennan Companies. Parry is a graduate of Brown University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and Economics.
