August, 2003 -- If your web site reflects an unprofessional image or illustrates an unorganized business, then that perception will influence customers. Don't let your web site hold you back! Take a look at your site and follow these tips to create a first class image online.
Maintain standards. Your company name, logo and other graphic standards should be consistently displayed and match other marketing materials and messages
Remove "Coming Soon" pages. If there's no content there now, it's been too long
Get rid of the irrelevant animations -- if it adds value to your message than keep it, but customers won't return just to see it. It's clutter!
Remove geek speak about frames or different browser versions. It's clutter. Browsers are up to the same standards or the user knows its limitation
Search for your company's web site using one of the major search engines. If you can't find your site, customers won't either
