LexisNexis Names Allison Maue Ultimate Associate for 2003

Ultimate Associate 2003 is a reality-based competition pitting first-year attorneys against one-another in a series of challenges, with the winner being selected by their peers.

Ultimate Associate 2003 is a reality-based competition pitting first-year attorneys against one-another in a series of challenges, with the winner being selected by their peers.
Being in the Ultimate Associate competition was really a no-lose situation for me," said Maue. Win or lose, I felt like I was being rewarded for my work during the entire competition. Not only were there great incentives to continue on through the challenges, but there also was the opportunity to bring members of our New York legal team closer together in a fun and beneficial way."
As the winner of the first Ultimate Associate competition, Maue will receive a trip for two to Hawaii. Finalists also were awarded cash prizes from top retailers, and all contestants received rewards for successfully completing challenges during the contest. Ultimate Associate 2003 finalists include:

A former Division I soccer player with a masters in industrial/organizational psychology, Maue spends her days in employment law researching, writing, analyzing and proofreading case work for the firm, as well as performing pro bono work in Harlem and the East Village. Maue is a graduate of the Hofstra University School of Law. Her firm, Sidley Austin Brown & Wood, with more than 1,500 lawyers and offices on three continents, is one of the largest law firms in the world. The four finalists, selected from a group of 10 semi-finalists, were asked to compete in several career challenges, in the form of professional development tasks designed to educate and entertain their virtual audience. These included dressing for success, balancing friends and family with work, and networking. Finalists shared their experiences through online journal entries, stories and photos on their own personal Web page within the LexisNexis Associate Community.
