Global Lack Of Direction

Not only have individuals lost their sense of direction, but entire countries have lost the clear path to achieving progress. This lack of ideology can only be filled with the wisdom of Kabbalah that is above all faiths, religions and cultures. According to the ancient wisdom that is now fully revealed for the benefit of this generation, the Creator is calling out to us to speed up the process of discovering Him.

Tel Aviv, Israel September 1, 2003 -– In the words of the Israel-based Kabbalist Michael Laitman, "According to what we see in today's world, not only have individuals lost a sense of direction, but entire nations and countries have lost their way. This is felt in all the world's countries that cannot provide a satisfying answer regarding how to conduct one's life. The lack of ideology in today's world causes countries to act spontaneously without a clear path for achieving progress."

"The world has achieved many goals of development so far. The industrial achievements of the 18th century; the cultural developments of the 19th century; and the scientific and technological developments of the 20th century. Yet the current state of affairs creates a setting for unexpected change of dramatic proportions regarding mankind's goals of development."

"The world has actually fulfilled all its development goals and no longer has any ideal to strive towards. There is no example of a society worth emulating since socialism and communism no longer exist, and competition between regimes has also disappeared. Not only is there a complete lack of direction, but no one is absolutely sure which way of life is better or worse."

"This complete lack of direction is most evident in Israel. At the beginning of the 20th century, Zionism gave the Jewish people their 'raison d'etre'. The Zionistic movement that swept across Europe provided the fuel and motivation for overcoming the tremendous challenges involved in founding the state of Israel.

Against all imaginable odds, Israel quickly developed into a modern country in its own right. Yet a mere fifty years later, Israel has already lost its reason for being. This dramatic change in Israel's ideological foundation is an example for the rest of world, because these trends are more evident in Israel than elsewhere."

"Today there exists only a single ideology - what is written in the Book of Zohar and all the ancient books. And that is the wisdom of Kabbalah, that provides us all with the purpose of our creation. We were not placed on earth to achieve cultural, technological and political development, or to compete with one another as individuals, nations, cultures or regimes."

"Our purpose for being here is to elevate ourselves to another level of being, which enables us to exist in the spiritual world while still living in this world. There can be no rest in this world or less suffering befalling us as long as we are neglecting this important goal. According to the ancient wisdom of Kabbalah that is now fully revealed for the benefit of this generation, the Creator is calling out to us to speed up the process of discovering Him. Especially at a time like this of global suffering, we must make this a priority. And Israel in particular must fulfill its role of revealing the goal of creation to the entire world. The next stage will involve all the countries of the world discovering the Supreme Power, and enjoying an existence of infinite perfection and tranquility. But this must be a common ideology for all of mankind that is above all existing faiths, religions and cultures."
