Houston's First Major Anime Convention. O-ChibiCon.

A local small anime group, ChibiCon, located in the Houston area is very pleased to announce an annual large-scale convention. The event is scheduled for August 6,7, &8th of 2004. A proven team of local well-respected anime fans is organizing the convention. This convention will go beyond other southern-based convention with many Japanese cultural activities and events.

August, 2003 -- A local small anime group, ChibiCon, located in the Houston area is very pleased to announce an annual large-scale convention. The convention, O-ChibiCon, will be held at the Hampton and Clarion Inn on Sam Houston Parkway in Houston, Texas. The event is scheduled for August 6,7, &8th of 2004. A proven team of local well-respected anime fans is organizing the convention. The combined experience of this magnificent team spans several decades.

The convention will host many celebrity guests some local and some coming from as far away as Japan. Dealers will also attend selling anime videos, mangas, and various other anime and non-anime related novelties. This convention will go beyond other southern-based convention with many Japanese cultural activities and events. The organizers plan on surprising their guest with interesting and different entertainment in addition to the tradition anime con fair.

The conventions will be held in two connecting hotels. The combined resources of these hotels will give the attendees adequate room to roam and participate in many of the scheduled activities. The Main event Ballroom is huge and able to easily accommodate a large crowd. The hotels has excellent dinning and bar facilities in addition to DSL access in many rooms. Included in the events will be CosPlay, Gaming, Viewing, FanArt, Panel discussion, and many more events
