New Online 'Real Time' Music Promotion Classes Begin in September.
New online 'real time' music promotion classes start September 15 for independent musicians and recording artists. Classes will be taught by independent record promoter and media publicist, Kenny Love.
TEXAS -- September 1, 2003 -- For independent musicians and recording artists who either cannot afford to hire professional record promoters, media publicists, or who prefer to conduct their own promotion and publicity campaigns, independent record promoter and publicist, Kenny Love, will begin holding weekly online "real time" classes that cover music business, marketing, promotion and advertising.
Students will have the opportunity to learn what structurally works immediately and instantly in the Music industry of today for independent and unsigned artists, in terms of successfully and competitively getting their music out via mass media sources and making sales to the public.
"Amazingly," says Love, "many, if not most independent and unsigned recording artists are confused today, perhaps, more so than ever, and are still beating their brains out and losing big time by going up against the down-but-not-yet-out Goliath (major labels), when there are some incredible alternative routes to go that they are completely unaware of. This is evident by their continuing to send their CDs directly to major commercial radio stations, of which most stations not only will never play it, but the reality is that it won't even make it into the station's music library for consideration by the music directors or program directors. Then, there is the humongous problem with their getting distribution which, without it, is like swimming against a 100-foot tidal wave. And, the reason artists continue on these fruitless paths, is because they are unfamiliar with any other way to get their CD exposed in the right places or sold. These classes will serve to enlighten them to new alternatives, approaches and, finally, success with both exposure and sales."
Love says students will also have the opportunity to ask questions or cite problems that they are having with various aspects of their careers, and are insured they will receive answers that will be of major and significant benefit. Students will also have the additional advantage of learning and experiencing issues that other students will bring forth and how they solved them.
Classes begin September 15, 2003 and will be held each Monday evening, from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (Central Standard Time). This translates to 5:00 p.m. time (Pacific), 6:00 p.m. (Mountain) and 8:00 p.m. (Eastern).
Each class session is limited to 10 students in order to allow for quality time and ease of participation by all students. Fees are only $10 (USD) per class session, and can be paid in advance online through PayPal, or forwarded via postal mail to: Kenny Love, c/o MuBiz.com, 115 Barnhill Drive, Crockett, Texas 75835.
Deadlines for signing up for classes and having class fees in are on Fridays. Incoming signups and fees that are past deadlines will be applied to the next week's class. More information is available at http://yahoogroups.com/group/klmb101.
