Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) September 3, 2003 -- Caroling with friends and family is one of the joys of Christmas, but for young children its often tough keeping up with the holiday pace. A new CD in the award-winning Time to Sing! series, Time to Sing! at Christmas, features 22 favorite holiday tunes at a pace than can be enjoyed by children of all abilities. Recommended for ages 2-6, Time to Sing! at Christmas is the second release in the CD series, which is available from The Center for Creative Play, a non-profit innovative play center in Pittsburgh offering activities for children of all abilities. The 55-minute CD will be released September 30, 2003 for a suggested retail price of $16.99, and the CD package includes a songbook with lyrics. In some songs, lyrics have been changed or simplified to make singing-along easier for young carolers

The whole family will enjoy the new recordings and arrangements on Time to Sing! at Christmas, each featuring a variety of instruments from simple country-bluegrass banjos and Latin percussions to piano and orchestral mixes. A funky James Brown styled Santa Claus is Coming to Town" is complemented by the soft spirituality of Mary Had a Baby." Angelic childrens voices invite listeners to sing along.

James Coffey, one of the nations most acclaimed family music artists, produces these holiday musical treats. Coffey composed music for the popular I Love Toy Trains and Lionel model train videos. His most recent CD release is My Mama Was a Train, which won a Parents Choice award, and his other CDs Come Ride Along with Me and Animal Groove each won awards and inclusion on Best of the Year" lists.
