MacSource Acquires Sir Computers Corporation
MacSource/CompuSource acquires Sir Computers Corp.,
PRAHA, CZECH (PRWEB) September, 2003 -- MacSource/CompuSource (www.compusource.cz) today announced their acquisition of SIR Computers a.s, (www.sir.cz) one of the largest Solutions providers to the Pre-Press, print and publishing market in the CE region.
MacSource's acquisition secures its already leading position as the largest IT and solution provider to the Czech pre-press, graphics and publishing market. In taking over SIR Computers MacSource will expand its areas of activity to include larger system software, system integration, consulting, development and implementation of complete hardware and software solutions. The fusion of the two entities will produce a company that will have difficulty finding competition in the Central European region.
MacSource estimates that it now controls a majority of the Czech Apple market and expects to surpass 210 000 000CZK (cca Euro7 000 000) total for the coming year. The company expects that over half of the expected revenues will be from non-Apple based sales.
"Until now we have grown steadily, but organically, so this acquisition represents a great leap forward for us in terms of capacity and revenues," said Anthony Hasek, CEO of MacSource. "Ensuring such firm underpinnings in the traditionally stable Apple market will allow us to further concentrate on our already rapid expansion into the mainstream PC, systems Integration and server markets, which already represents over 50% of our revenues. We see our strengths in being able to offer our clients the perfect solution, regardless of hardware brand or operating system platform."

The terms of the acquisition encompass SIR Computer's lists of key clients, service and maintenance contracts, all warranty and repair issues and key employee contracts. The management and shareholders of SIR are bound for a "lock-in" period to ensure the smooth ransitioning of their client base under MacSource's care.
The financial terms of the acquisition remain ndisclosed.
