Technology is "Not Dead in Texas" Don't put your head in the sand, come out and support technology in Texas.

The Problem: Communication between technology companies in Texas is limited due to the fact that they are so spread out throughout the state. We have all been affected by technology budget cuts over the past two years, the dot-com bubble bursting and tech stocks not performing well. We postponed Texas Technology Conference 2003 last March due to the war and the downturn in the economy, but all of our existing speakers are committed.

September, 2003 -- The Solution: The Texas Technology Conference is a statewide regional event for the survivors of theses turbulent times. One thing the surviving Texas technology companies do during turbulent economic times is pull together. It is totally impossible for any CEO, CTO and CIO to stay on top of every technology out there. The only motivation for our event is to create an educational atmosphere, not an industry-specific trade show, where companies are competing with each other.

Does this mean that technology is dead in Texas? Does that mean that technology is going away? Does that mean that the technology sector will never turnaround? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! All it means is that technology companies have been going through a cleansing period .... getting rid of technology companies that should not have been in business in the first place and streamlining others. Many technology companies have been facing a reality check. With the U.S. economy in recession, even old-economy companies are feeling the pinch. As of late, we have seen real estate values go up and then go down, we have seen oil prices go up and then go down, and recently, we have seen the values of technology companies go up and then go down. But so long as we have human capital in Texas creating new intellectual properties and technologies, we are only at the beginning of the technology industry, with a long and prosperous future ahead of us.

Hardware, Software, IT, data integration, e-commerce, B2B, Supply Channel, wireless, telephony, telecom, biotechnology, and health science companies come together for two days, to talk about their technologies and intellectual properties, their market niche and how they can do business with each other, to refer each other new business opportunities and to form strategic alliances. Non-technology manufacturers, wholesalers and service companies are invited to be educated about the latest technologies and how they can be impacted. Corporate executives come to our event to educate and learn from each other about their technologies and their requirements and to make new business contacts with other technology and non-technology companies.

Texas Technology Conference 2003 exists for one main reason: to provide a forum for technology companies from around the state to come and discuss their intellectual properties, their market niche and how they can do business with each other and for non-technology companies to learn about the latest technologies available to help their companies. That's all!!! We do not sell exhibit booths nor even have an exhibit hall. We hold this annual event on the shores of Lake Conroe. Our conference is not a venture capital conference of start-up companies looking for investors, nor are we a one-industry trade show.

Call for All Texas Technology Companies

With technologies changing so rapidly, the Texas Technology Conference attempts to bring the latest technologies from many different technology industries throughout Texas to present and educate each other as well as the non-technology corporate attendees. Attendees do not walk down an aisle at a noisy convention center, going from booth to booth getting the "two minute sell", trying to learn about a particular technology, let alone make a business decision.

Before you can buy or sell a particular technology, you need to get the full understanding to make an intelligent decision. At the Texas Technology Conference 2003, we spend our time watching PowerPoint presentations and discussing technologies in depth. If you want more information about a technology you are interested in during the general sessions you can also attend private presentations going on at another location within the conference center. If you agree that technology is not dead in the State of Texas, please join us at the conference.

You may want to invite new prospects to attend to hear your presentation as well as existing customers to learn more about your capabilities. If you feel your company can add educational value, share information and develop new strategic alliances with other technology companies and non-technology companies, please join us on October 30-31, 2003 at the April Sound Conference Center on Lake Conroe. DON'T PUT YOUR HEAD IN THE SAND, COME OUT AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR TECHNOLOGY IN TEXAS.
