The United Hindu Cultural Council, a non-profit senior community center in Queens, New York will hold a reception on September 3, 2003 for the 8 winners of the City Council Member Allan W. Jennings Scholarship.
United Hindu Cultural Council to Hold Reception for City Council Member Allan W. Jennings Scholarship Winners
South Ozone Park, NY --- September, 2003 -- The United Hindu Cultural Council Senior Center (UHCC) will hold a reception and luncheon on September 3, 2003, at 10:00 AM honoring the eight winners of the City Council Member Honorable Allan W. Jennings scholarships. Each of the winners was chosen for exemplary authorship of an essay about community relations.
The reception will commence at 10:00 AM and will include the awarding of $500 scholarship checks to the Alan W. Jennings scholarship winners, followed by a program of entertainment and a luncheon served by the UHCC. Many local businesspeople are expected to attend in addition to the centers senior population.
The United Hindu Cultural Council of USA, North America, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting unity among all people in our diversified populations. The UHCC is seeking to develop humanitarian and caring communities that will address the needs of all individuals, particularly in underserved areas. The UHCC is funded by the New York City Department for the Aging.
