BUSINESS LEADERS FROM RUSSIA TO VISIT TRIANGLE

The International Visitors Council / World Affairs Council will host five business leaders from Russia for an intense one-week program focused on economic development.

Raleigh, North Carolina (PRWEB) September 4, 2003 -- The International Visitors Council / World Affairs Council will host five business leaders in the Triangle as part of the Open World Program under the auspices of the Center for Russian Leadership Development. They are:

Mr. Sergey Aleksandrovich CHUSOV, Director, Ust-Kut City Job Center

Ms. Tatyana Vladimirovna MILYUTINA, Deputy Director, Personnel Solutions Agency LLC

Ms. Yekaterina Alekseyevna PODGAYNYAYA, Senior Specialist, Krasnodar City Administration, Employment Administration, Human Resources Development Department

Svetlana Mikhaylovna ZHUKOVA, Manager, Personnel Kuzbas Center and Executive Director, Business Women's League

Mr. Petr Igorevich KOVALENKO, Instructor / Region Representative, Rostov State University, Department of Philology and Journalism / Civil Education Project

The Triangle provides excellent resources to meet the objectives and interests of the Russian visitors:
·   Education in managing human resource agencies
·   Acquire experience in solving of the issues of employment
·   Learn about the American methods of interrelations between the government, business, and business-supporting structures
·   Gain an understanding successful forms of partnership between the government and the private sector in the US
·   Learn how small business is supported in the US locally, and how investment is attracted.

The Russian visitors will meet with:

·   Dr. Ron Ilinitch, Director of the Central Carolina Region, NC Small Business and Technology Center
·   Mr. Jeff Denny, Director, Technology Business, Wake County Economic Development, Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce

·   Ms. Bridget Wall, Assistant to the Secretary, State of NC Department of Administration, Office of Historically Underutilized Businesses
·   Mr. Scott Doron, Director of Southern Technology Council, Southern Growth Policies Board
·   Ms. Mary Lou Todd, Town Manager, City of Garner
·   Mr. David Clegg, Director of Government Relations, Employment Security Commission of NC

WHO WE ARE
Since 1973, the International Visitors Council / World Affairs Council (IVC / WAC) of Research Triangle Park is a nonprofit, 501(C) 3 organization that fulfills its mission by planning itineraries for visiting international dignitaries and professionals and by hosting a series of events that bring seasoned, high profile speakers to the Triangle community.

IVC / WAC is successful due to the support and involvement of 2,000 local professional resources, 400 organization members, and dozens of volunteers. In 2002, IVC / WAC hosted more than 600 international visitors in the Triangle, ranking us 6 out of 96 similar community-based organizations in the United States.
