(PRWEB) September 5, 2003 -- HDSE Software is pleased to announce the release of version 7.1 of the Html2Txt software suite. It delivers functionality to convert HTML to text at high speed while maintaining the original structure and position of the text as displayed within a web browser.

New in Version 7.1

The new version 7.1 includes a number of new and improved features as well as dramatic improvements in conversion speed in excess of 400%. The new features include the outlining of tables, images and form items which has greatly improved the overall appearance of the output. In addition, we have added a comprehensive information file detailing all aspects of the conversion, including time taken, files converted, details of page sizes, table and cell positions, links and image positions. This information file is produced in XML for easy parsing by third party applications. Furthermore, the number of output types has been increased to include a choice of ANSI, ASCII and Unicode. Version 7.1 also features an automatic self upgrade check enabling existing clients to quickly upgrade to any new versions of Html2Txt free of charge.

Html2Txt Features

The Html2Txt software is capable of converting web pages to text while maintaining the exact structure of the web page after the conversion. Html2txt understands complex web pages and is able to handle advanced features such as frames, scripting, style sheets, nested tables and dynamic html which can manipulate the page as it is loading. The improved user interface supports usability tips, a resizable main window, a drag/drop mechanism for selecting files and context menus for viewing results. Html2Txt is highly user friendly and does not require the user to have any programming knowledge.

Html2txt comes as a fully functional program or it can be used as an ActiveX component to be embedded in third party software allowing clients to quickly and easily add the full functionality of Html2Txt to their software. The component is configurable so that clients can easily control how the conversions are to take place.
