Psychic Phenomena; Could it be true?

Psychics seem to be popping out of thin air recently. Is this the dawn of a new age or a genetic evolution?

September, 2003 -- It is apparent, society as a whole has progressed past the Salem Witch trials and the preconceived ideas that all that have a 6th sense are evil. Instead, we have begun to accept and embrace this ancient breed of humanity. In biblical times, they referred to many as prophets. Kings and leaders of great countries relied on them to understand their dreams and give wise counsel to run the countries. It might be surprising to know that in general, many leaders still do.

Some were born with ability, a message or vision; others have gained it through accidents, comas or near death experiences. They come from around the world and not necessarily a specific region. Whatever the cause, financial status, or social background, they come with a message of importance. They defy reason, as we know it.
Seeking medical evidence or reason for their abilities has not proven conclusive facts. Many show a lower body temperature, increased risk with sedation and arrhythmia. Yet, there cannot be found concise indisputable validation of their abilities.

However, in light of our cautious acceptance of psychic phenomena, the fakes come out in masses to deplete our checking accounts and over extend our credit cards. A divorce could cost you more than a pricey attorney, your psychic bill could go far beyond that. This could make one totally disillusioned with the entire concept.
However there are people out there that renew our faith and once again give us hope that this indeed is real. One reading or seminar with Sylvia Brown, John Edward, Dannion Brinkley or Rhiannon Waits restores the damage done by frauds. Somehow, we all feel they are unattainable and too expensive, so we seek solace in the multitudes of self proclaimed and easily reached psychic". The phrase you get what you pay for" is not entirely true in this case. One might pay thousand for multiple readings from a phony or less for a couple of true genuine readings from an actual psychic. The working class can not justify to their selves a one time psychic expense, yet will slowly dabble away more at random times with an unknown.

Searching Google, yahoo or msn with the word psychic alone will usually net thousands of psychics seeking your business. Yet, typing in a specific name with the word psychic" will net you the ability to check out a certain psychic and their popularity. By spending a few extra minutes, researching a psychic before you pay them is using good common sense. Checking into the obvious famed names might also astonish you. A reading could be within your reach.

Psychic phenomena may be one we will never prove or disprove. People offer millions for validation. However, inside we honestly know there are true psychics among us.Maybe the mysteries of how when and why they are will remain one of faith. Some things plainly defy logic.
