Record August Sales Surpass the Quarter Million Dollar Mark

NORTH VANCOUVER, BC, -- MEDSURGE MEDICAL PRODUCTS CORP. (the Company" or Medsurge") announced today that August sales hit a record high for fiscal 2003 at $251,345 surpassing the previous high set in June of $199,373 by 26% and surpassing prior August 2002 sales of $86,501 by 190%. Record gross profits were recorded as well at $53,712. Management analysis reveals that increases are due primarily from the ORegan Hemorrhoid Banding System and Astratech Lofric Catheter product lines. Fiscal 2002 posted record sales averaging $140,440 per month. August sales represent a significant increase of $110,905 per month or 79%.
