New mens magazine showcases design not bikinis

Established in Vancouver in early 2003 by Dylan Crawshaw and Kyle Maling, Highrise Magazine is a welcome entrant into the world of publishing. Going against the present trend of covering male issues and featuring bikini-clad women, Highrise Magazine is for men interested in quality design and stylish living. Currently men interested in design have nowhere to turn. Magazines that feature furniture, architecture and interior design are heavily geared towards either female readers or the trade. Mens fashion magazines have become less about fashion and design and more about celebrity profiles, bikinis and shock value." says Highrise Co-Founder and Editorial Director Dylan Crawshaw. Our goal with Highrise is to provide insight to help the modern man achieve the lifestyle he not only desires but deserves."
Mens attitudes have shifted. They are taking better care of themselves and have become increasingly interested in their personal and lifestyle appearance. The premiere issue of Highrise Magazine will be 124 pages, full colour throughout and perfect bound. Over 30,000 copies will be distributed throughout Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
