The workshop will be held at the Atlanta headquarters on January 13; March 9; May 11; July 13; September 7; and November 9, 2004.
CPAI recruits and trains "professional personal assistants" nationally and has placed assistants with clients such as: India.Arie, Dave Matthews Band, attorneys, medical doctors and a plethora of professional athletes in the NBA and NFL. The professional" Personal Assistant Administrator is the linchpin of a smoothly run organization, the manager of a successful team, and should be recognized as such. This evolution is happening slowly in the entertainment industry, thanks to the efforts of CPAI. Workshop attendees will get practical ideas on how to excel as a celebrity assistant, whether the employer is a bestselling novelist, NBA star, record label executive or supermodel. Each session will include a guest assistant" currently working in the field" with a celebrity. The guest assistant will provide attendees with real-world" information regarding what it takes to make it in the entertainment industry.

Hour One: Personal Dynamics:
The long hours and hard work of a Personal Assistant can be stressful. This valuable section provides many tools & pointers for keeping ones personal life on an even keel. *Our Guest "Assistant" will provide valuable information about "real-world" day-in-the-life of a personal assistant.
Hour Two: Social Correspondence & Communication Skills:
Correspondence for the wealthy can be quite different from the average persons correspondence. They often use high-quality stationery, send formal invitations, employ calligraphers, and so on. As a PA, you will also need to write thank-you notes & business letters and will likely be answering e-mail, faxes, and phone calls. Learn all this plus telephone etiquette, placing international calls, and more. Your ability to follow instructions will also be explored. Proper communications between you & your employer/client is key. *This section will also cover protocol and etiquette when dealing with the business or personal associates of your employer.
Hour Three: But I've Never Worked as a PA:
Find out the Skills an employer is seeking for their ideal personal assistant - take an E.Q. Personality Assessment to determine the type of celebrity or high-profile person you are suitable to work with. *Attendees will be given special A-list privilege for placement opportunities with clients.
