SpamSolution.org publishes recipe for defeating Bayesian spam filters.

Bayesian filters are all the rage these days. But now Trevor Tompkins of spamsolution.org shows how failed a solution these filters are by publishing a recipe for defeating them.

Bayesian filters are all the rage. There probably isn't a spam filter left that isn't using some form of statistical method for filtering spam. But to be considered superior, it needs to be a Bayesian filter. Trevor Tompkins of spamsolution.org disagrees with this blanket acceptance of Bayesian filters. He has outlined problems with them in the past, and now has published a recipe for defeating them at the spamsolution.org web site. So how does one solve the problem of spam? Trevor says that you must use a form of authentication and permission granting, which is outlined in their published paper "Giving E-mail back to the users" at http://firstmonday.org.
