On Friday, September 5 2003, the Power Networking & Business Awards Night connected Power Brokers at the Quality Hotel (Formerly Best Western Hotel) located 80 Clinton Street, Hempstead, Long Island. The Power Networking Business Seminar Series is one of New York Citys longest running business seminar series.
The Power Networking Business Seminar combines business to business networking with educational training to develop highly successful entrepreneurs. Top business leaders in the New York Metro area attend the Power Networking & Business Awards Night. The Power Networking & Business Awards night primary goal is to create new economic ties and strengthen existing economic bonds in the New York State metro area. The Power Networking Awards night w connected the dots between business, government, corporate, civic, and community leaders.
The Power Networking Business Awards Night provided opportunity learn to earn more, increase business contacts, exchange business cards, build power relationships, and network after hours. The Power Networking Business & Awards Night will be hosted by Aida Brooks, Africa Eyes, Mr. Phil Andrews, Public Relations Director for C & B Books (www.cbbooksdistribution.com)/member 100 Black Men of Long Island / Vice President of Public Relations/Marketing National African American Speakers Association New York Metropolitan Chapter, Mr. Elseah Cheah of the Hempstead Media Group. The honorees for the evening were Bertha Brinson, branch manager City National Bank/Vice president Roosevelt Chamber of Commerce, Gary Coley, Publisher of Community Journal Newspaper, Nimba Burr, a Liberian singer and Liberian national treasure, Lorrette Farris, Growth Strategies, Inc., Mr. James Nemley, Community Development Corporation of Long Island (CDC)/Financial Services Coalition of Long Island. Kate Murray, Supervisor Town of Hempstead also presented citations to Power Networking honorees.
A special book signing presentation was presented by Mr. Curtis E. Cost, author The Secrets How to control a Man", Mr. Cost also received a special citation honoring his literary works. Honorees received awards from Dorothy Goosby L. Goosby, Councilwoman, Councilmatic District 1 Nassau County, and Kevin Abrahams, Legislator District 1, Nassau County. Mr. James Nemley presented the keynote address and the topic was Empowerment through Business Ownership.
The Primary mission of the Power Networking & Business Awards Night is to increase the number of quality contacts that power-networking members are exposed to at Power Networking events.
