Intellidimension RDF Gateway Supports W3C Web Ontology Language (OWL) For The Semantic Web

Windsor, VT - September 15, 2003 - Intellidimension RDF Gateway supports the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Ontology Language (OWL) the most recent Semantic Web recommendation. OWL support is one of several key enhancements available in the latest release of RDF Gateway, Intellidimension's platform for the Semantic Web.

The Web Ontology Language (OWL) is a critical component in implementing the Semantic Web. OWL is a standardized notation for describing the meaning and relationships between terms in a vocabulary in a way that allows computers to understand the data they interchange. OWL builds upon existing Semantic Web standards such as the Resource Description Framework (RDF) and the Extensible Markup Language (XML).

Intellidimension's release of RDF Gateway v1.0.3 includes a package of inference rules for OWL and RDF Schema (RDFS). In addition, this release includes improved query optimization, N3 and N-Triple support, dynamic model maintenance, graph merging, and new security features.
