NetworkAnatomy Officially Unveils Disaster Communication System on Eve of 9/11 Anniversary
NetworkAnatomy introduced the next generation of interoperable disaster communications equipment for use in the field to coincide with the second anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks -- inspiration for development of the advanced systems.
For Immediate Release
Pleasanton, CA,(PRWEB) September 15,2003 - NetworkAnatomy, the California-based designer and manufacturer of interoperable and integrated field communication systems, has officially unveiled CommanderSeries ground force communication packs and cases to coincide with the second anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks - the inspiration for these advanced communication systems.
The lightweight communication packs and cases (under 11 lbs.) are the first of their kind, and answer the need of emergency service professionals and public safety agencies to communicate in the field under severe conditions. Even in a major power outage or complete ground-based communication network failure, the self-contained units are unaffected and will provide assured access to satellite communication links.
The debut of our CommanderSeries systems marks a significant change in the way field communications will be handled by homeland security, public safety organizations, border patrol, and even the military from this point forward," said Doug Linman, CEO. He continued, The world witnessed first-hand the complications arising out of the total loss of communications at Ground Zero in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. We made promises to the ground forces that we would find a way of assuring that communications would not be lost again. Within days of those tragic events, we began developing what has become the most advanced, comprehensive, wearable, transportable, self-contained and multi-level mode voice and data system for field use anywhere on the planet."
Earthquakes or other natural disasters, and critical situations such as the recent power outages throughout our eastern U.S. cities and in England, are crisis situations requiring assured and rapidly deployable communications all over the world. Our systems were designed to be used anywhere around the globe - on land, at sea, or in the air, at a moments notice," said Linman.
The successful operation of the systems in a crisis situation was reconfirmed this past weekend when the units were used in a series of Mock Disasters run by the National Corrections and Law Enforcement Training and Technology Center (NCLETTC) in Moundsville, WV. Our systems performed flawlessly in the role of the on-site/on-line incident command system, documenting the unfolding of each scenario with time stamped text updates, GPS maps, photos, audio/video and constant radio and satellite phone communications across five of the six terrorist and tactical response scenarios," said Linman.
NetworkAnatomy builds communication systems that help secure and save lives. They are headquartered in the Northern California town of Pleasanton. Additional information about the company and its products can be found on their Web site at: www.networkanatomy.com
