CoaxStrip 5400

Coaxial Cable Stripping Machine

The new CoaxStrip 5400 can perform multiple stage strips on a variety of wire and cable types, from discrete wire to triaxial cable. The maximum cable diameter that can be processed is 11 mm (0.44") O.D., and the overall maximum stripping length is 40 mm (1.58"). This increased capacity makes it possible to process all common coaxial cables on the market, including the larger RG8, RG11 and RG213 types.

This versatile stripping machine retains the familiar precision mechanics of its predecessors, while adding a completely new Graphical User Interface (GUI). The main element of the new interface is a high-resolution monochrome display that allows the user to view a schematic diagram of the cable end, complete with programmed dimensions. This graphical depiction makes it easy for the user to verify that the machine has been programmed correctly.

The CoaxStrip 5400 also features a programmable gripper force. This new standard feature allows the user to set lower values so that small, delicate cables are not damaged. The user can also set higher values for large, difficult-to-strip cables that require maximum gripping power.

Other user-programmable parameters include strip length and diameter, number of stripping steps, stripping sequence, spindle speed, blade feed rate and wayback. Once the values are optimized for a particular application, the user can name and save the file in the battery-backed memory that can hold up to 1,000 different cable programs.
