Auburn, MA -- September 12, 2003-- It is going to be an action packed high intensity spectacular with children as young as 3 years old through adults showing the skills that they have learned over through months to years of training," says Daniel Colebrook of Auburn MA, the Customer Service Manager of McCoys Action Karate Auburn, when asked to describe the upcoming graduation and black belt show. Over 250 children, as well as 50 plus adults, will be graduating to their first belt through 4th degree black belt at 1:00pm Saturday, September 20, 2003. The show will be held at Oxford Middle School auditorium, and admission is Free and open to the public, as long as you reserve tickets by calling McCoys Action Karate. The show will appeal to everyone," says Mr. Colebrook, We have displays of awesome self discipline, team work, self defense skills, high flying kicks and breaking to say nothing of focus, desire and heart."
According to Paul McCoy, the owner and one of the Master Instructors at McCoys Action karate, "National statistics show that 1 out of 100 students who try to achieve black belt actually do arrive at that goal. At our school, 1 out of 19 achieve that awesome rank, certified by one of the senior Grand Masters on the east coast no less. Watching these children and adults perform at this high level validates the work our staff has put in over the last decade. Proud does not begin to cover the feeling."
Black Belt Spectaculars are a great way for non karate people to see all of the benefits of training at a modern karate school," says Colleen Weagle of Auburn MA, the Black Belt Coordinator for McCoys Action Karate. Many people see karate as just fighting, or militaristic discipline, but a modern and well run program develops students individually. Each student brings their own talents and needs to the school, and you can see that in their performance." For some heart pumping tear jerking excitement with real live action figures in the local area, you should attend the 9th annual McCoys Action Karate Black Belt Spectacular and Colored Belt Graduation Saturday September 20th at 1:00pm in the Oxford Middle School Auditorium.
