Finally Software adds SSH to Security Features of the IVT Secure Terminal Emulator

Finally Software announced today that they had released V17.0 of their Secure Terminal Emulator. IVT Secure Access is a Windows terminal emulator with powerful built-in security features which also secures X-Windows protocols. Fully compatible with, Kerberos, Active Directory, DCE security systems and now the Secure Shell SHH security mechanism.

Finally Software Announces V17.0 Of Secure Terminal Emulator

Finally Software announced today that they had released V17.0 of their Secure Terminal Emulator. IVT Secure Access is a Windows terminal emulator with powerful built-in security features which also secures X-Windows protocols. Fully compatible with, Kerberos, Active Directory, DCE security systems and now the Secure Shell SHH security mechanism.

New V.17 Features Kerberos.

·   Integrated with the latest MIT release 1.3.1. IVT installs all required files.

·   New auto-retry feature. If the user has no credentials, IVT will launch the login program to allow the user to get credentials. V17.0 will monitor the login program, when valid credentials appear within 90 seconds, the login will retry automatically.

·   Improved DLL handling to allow interaction with various Kerberos implementations.
SSH
·   IVT V17. now supports the SSH-2 protocol:
·   AES (Rijndael cipher)
·   Password based authentication
·   Interactive keyboard authentication (for tokens)
·   Key pair (private/public) authentication.
·   Integration with IVT password learning (optional)
·   X-windows port forwarding
·   Data compression
·   Integration with the Pageant authentication Agent
·   Multi-session, simultaneous TELNET/Kerberos/SSH/Serial/NetBIOS sessions.
·   Automatic replay of passphrase for sessions
·   Export of host keys (see SSH_HOSTKEYS directive)
·   Automatic acceptance of unknown host keys.
·   Automatic start of Pageant when possible.
·   Other standard IVT features such as scripting, powerful cut/paste.

Miscellaneous
·   New Full Screen mode (ALT+Enter).
·   New HOSTLIST command - allows pick list of fixed hosts.
·   New GUI_TRANSPARENCY command: Makes IVT window transparent.
