DVD of Finger Lakes Wineries to be released

[Ithaca, NY] ELK Productions, a video production trio formed earlier this year, announced today the upcoming release of the first-ever DVD featuring a New York State wine trail. Cayuga Lake Wine Country" combines breathless scenery with interviews of the vineyard owners in a tour of Upstate New Yorks Finger Lakes region.

This project is not only the first of its kind for Cayuga Lake, it also precedes any other wine trail in the state in its release," remarked Larry F. Baum, Executive Producer. When we saw the opportunity and realized the team weve put together could create a project that captured the true essence of this trail, we decided to go for it. The end result will be a keepsake for anyone interested in New York wines."

The DVD features the 15 wineries along Cayuga Lake that are members of the Cayuga Wine Trail. Starting in Ithaca and winding their way up Route 89 in a 1967 Corvair convertible, the viewer gets more than just a taste for wine, they get a taste for a memorable road trip. Stopping at each vineyard and talking with the owners gives the viewers a sense of being there at every turn.

ELK Productions consists of three local companies who have worked together on a variety of projects in the past. The Computing Center, Hark Productions and Communique Design & Marketing, Inc. used their combined talents to produce this program in a cutting-edge, all-digital format. Although the technology used is state-of-the-art, the result perfectly captures the sloping hillsides and natural beauty of the region. A pedal steel guitar and harmonica set the pace.
