Golfs Greatest Challenge, How Can We Improve Speed of Play Without Sacrificing Good Scores?

ReadyGolfClub.com, is a club of golfers dedicated to improving speed of play without sacrificing good scores. For more information visit www.readygolfclub.com.

Cleveland, Ohio (PRWEB) September 16, 2003. ReadyGolfClub is positioned to become the premier resource for sound pace of play rules. Golf is only going to get more popular in the future with the stars of the professional tours touching every facet of international society. This is a good thing. The dilemma is being able to play golf when we recreational golfers have the time to do so. Unless you have the money to belong to an exclusive golf club with very few members, playing time is becoming considerably scarce, even with all the new courses being constructed to meet demand.

What if all golfers could shave a minimum of thirty minutes from each recreational round played, everyday, around the world? With a consensus of opinion, one format of rules to play by we can...without rushing, hurrying routines, running to the tees, interfering with each others shots, or putting through and out on each whole. Save thirty minutes or more, not only would rounds be more enjoyable more rounds can be played in the same day.

There is no Secrets of better pace video," certified teaching professional to go to, or marquee PGA professional spokesperson for us recreational golfers to learn good pace of play from. Golfers learn from TV, their peers, and mostly live with slow play as a fact of playing recreational golf.

Believe it or not there are championship golf courses sending out foursome after foursome who all finish 18 holes regularly in less than 4 hours. Because good scoring is a vital part of any golf round, pace of play rules have varied from region to region and league to league worldwide.

Most seasoned golfers have heard the term Ready Golf." There are many versions of ready golf rules yet only a small number of recreational golfers play by their local interpretation of ready golf rules. Some main problems of slow play are:

- There hasnt been ONE set of pace of play rules written standards" that golf courses can provide and recreational golfers will agree to play by.
-Whos the real authority to supply written ready golf rules and will continue to improve the rules from a recreational golfers perspective?
- There hasnt been a venue for recreational golfers to support or create by consensus" a formal set of pace of play rules that can be enforced for all who play.
- Only golfers themselves are today's teachers and mentors for sound pace of play rules.
- Recreational golfers havent had an organization dedicated to educating players about pace of play.
- Course marshals and rangers cant be on each hole during our everyday rounds.

There are many nuances, tips and traditions that have been passed down over the generations that help us understand what good pace of play consists of. The true educators for pace of play were the caddies that had to move the everyday golfer through their round so they could get on another bag and make a days wage. The days of professional caddie education unfortunately are gone for most of us. Its up to golfers now to pass on and continue to learn the facets of the game that make golf more enjoyable. Nothing substitutes for not being able to get out and play, nothing is more enjoyable than playing and not having to wait on every shot.

ReadyGolfClub has established a formal set of pace of play rules that are perpetually created by golfers. The rules are available as the current" set of pace of play rules subject to change by voting consensus and majority opinion. Our rules are printable and free for distribution by any golfing facility or for any golfing body.

We welcome all golfers to challenge or embrace our position.
