Women Chefs Learn the Art of Self-Promotion
DC Women Chefs & Restaurateurs Serve Up PR Workshop
WASHINGTON, DC (PRWEB) September 18, 2003 -If media opportunity knocks, will you be ready? Or will you be too busy running your restaurant or food business-taking in orders, checking the produce, creating food, managing your staff, washing the dishes-to answer the call?
Restaurant chefs, cooking school teachers, food consultants, and personal chefs are often charged with publicizing their business in addition to running it and creating the food. Women entrepreneurs find self-promotion difficult and time-consuming. Says one area chef, Id rather concentrate on the food."

The chapter offers members expert advice and training with Feeding The Media: Publicity Tips From The Pros," a seminar with some of the top experts in restaurant and food industry pr and marketing. The seminar is slated for Monday, September 29, from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Fairfax County Public Access station, Channel 10, 2929 Eskridge Road, Fairfax, VA.
