LANCASTER, Pa., (PRWEB) September 18, 2003 -- Pelletron Corporation, the pioneer of dedusting technology and manufacturer of the Pelletron Deduster, today announced the appointment of Heinz Schneider, formerly with Coperion (Ramsey, N.J.), as president and CEO. The move is part of a corporate restructuring by Pelletron designed to launch the company into a period of aggressive growth and expansion.
Schneider is the former vice president of trading for Coperion, an international plastics machinery and systems supplier.
Heinzs global industry expertise, both technical and sales, is a tremendous asset to Pelletron Corporation," said Jerry Paulson, founder and chairman of the board. He brings a vision and business acumen that will raise our profile in the materials handling industry. Were very pleased to have Heinz join our family."
Paulson, who founded Pelletron in 1986, will relinquish his role as president and CEO, but remain as chairman of the board. He will direct the companys new technology initiatives, with plans to concentrate on the development of new, innovative products. Peggy Paulson will remain as executive vice president of marketing.
Schneider boasts more than 25 years of industry experience. He played a prominent role in establishing the U.S. division of Waeschle, Inc., in the mid-1990s. Schneider served as president of the organization until 2001 when Waeschle merged with two other companies -- Buss and Werner & Pfleiderer -- to form Coperion.
With its superior dedusting technology, Pelletron Corporation is clearly the worldwide leader in dust removal equipment," said Schneider. Pelletrons name recognition is expanding throughout the world and the company is in a great position to grow. Im excited to be able to contribute to that growth."
Schneider said immediate plans include expanding Pelletrons business to include total pneumatic conveying systems solutions. His goal, he said, is to triple the companys sales in three years, including substantial growth in Asia and Europe.
We expect that Pelletron will grow significantly in the years to come, creating new jobs in the United States. And with our sophisticated products and solutions, we will help our customers improve their processing capabilities, resulting in better products," Schneider said.
Schneider added, We have already begun development of new Pelletron product lines that will be introduced later this year."
