Troutdale, OR (PRWEB) September 16, 2003--- Cookie Orchard Cookie Company is releasing the first item in its product line dedicated to healthy great tasting treats. The Chocolate/Pecan flavor is sold in an 18-ounce chub that allows a customer to offer a freshly baked snack for their family or friends.

You can make a couple of cookies, a whole batch or pat the dough into a pan and bake as bar cookies.
All Cookie Orchard cookies:
·   Are made with carefully selected highest quality fresh ingredients.
·   Have a crisp exterior and a moist flavorful interior.
·   Are Kosher.
·   Made with mostly organic ingredients including whole wheat flour.

Meloney Bates developed the cookies over a period of two years. She says, I wanted to make a cookie for my family that tasted every bit as good as our homemade favorites, yet was healthier. I have been making these for friends and events for some time; and the demand has increased to a point where I have decided to make them available to the public.

It took a lot of experimenting, tasting (no shortage of volunteers) and working with ingredients to create a cookie that meets our standards. We are very proud that we have managed to produce a cookie that has lost none of its taste and texture, yet has no butter, oil or margarine."

Cookie Orchard cookies will be targeted to markets that cater to healthy, fresh products. The product launch will begin in the Northwest.

Flavors that will be available in the future include, Cherry Pie, Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Raisin.
