RibicRESCUE High Rise Self-Rescue Device To Save Lives In Emergency

Device allows people to save themselves from high-rise buildings and sky scrapers up to 110 stories.

(PRWEB) September 18, 2003 --- After watching in horror as people leapt to their death from the Twin Towers following the terrorist attack September 11th, German Engineer Harald Ribic vowed that no one need ever be trapped in a high-rise building again. Ribic immediately got to work in Dortmund, Germany designing and developing a self-rescue device called the RibicRESCUE now available in the United States.

Anyone can put RibicRESCUE on in seconds," Ribic explains. You dont need anyone to help you. Unlike any other escape device you can save yourself, even if youre in a 110 story building!"

The device is a sophisticated vinyl vest with a unique breaking system. The steel rope container is actually part of the vest with a patented, hand-operated braking system. The breaking system allows you to control the speed of your descent -- which is critical for a successful escape. Should you loose consciousness for any reason on the way down, a pre-set maximum descent speed minimizes the chance of serious injury when reaching the ground.

When trapped with no other way out, you can take the vest out of a drawer or closet, put it on and attach the flexible steel rope to a pillar, doorway or any solid anchor with the end-hook provided. Then you can open -- or break a window -- climb out and lower yourself down the building just like you would in a safety harness," Ribic says. And your hands are free to allow you to control your descent while looking directly at the building. You dont even have to look down."

RibicRESCUE comes in two sizes with adjustable straps to fit anyone from 4 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 11 inches tall and weighing up to 355 pounds. The steel rope is provided in two lengths - the RibicRESCUE High-Rise is 820 feet, or approximately 66 stories, and the RibicRESCUE Sky Scraper is 1,475 feet, or approximately 110 stories.

Available online at www.ribicrescue.com, the RibicRESCUE High-Rise sells for $795, the RibicRESCUE Sky Scraper for $850.
