TABS CHANGES NAME TO TECHNOLOGY ADVISORY BOARD, CHANGES LEADERSHIP AND RELAUNCHES INITIATIVES.

Long Beach, CA -- September 22, 2003 -- The Technology and Business Syndicate (TABS) today announced several significant changes taking place within their organization, among which include; changing the organizations name and a change in leadership.

Effectively immediately, The Technology and Business Syndicate will be changing its name to the Long Beach Technology Advisory Board. Also, Ray Mehler will be taking over the role of President, while Richard Bergér steps down.

I am very enthused that our new name will better identify the advisory role we play with business and government entities," said Mehler. We are looking forward to implementing our current initiatives, like the Business Acceleration Kit and the Technology Empowerment Zones and taking on new issues, such as impact of hot-zones, cellular portability, and international trade," added Mehler, who has managed major systems and software projects in the private and public sectors. In addition to representing TAB in the Long Beach Alliance of Business Associations, Mehler is Executive Vice President of the Long Beach Optimist Club and is a member of the Long Beach YMCA Board of Managers.

I have the utmost confidence in Rays technical knowledge and overarching abilities to effectively lead the Technology Advisory Boards economic stimulus and business development initiatives within the community," stated Bergér, who will continue his active role with the Technology Advisory Board. Bergér is Vice President of Relations at ASTRALCOM, an award-winning digital business solutions provider to
mid-market companies, municipalities and non-profit organizations.

The Technology Advisory Board assesses technology and business trends, and local, state and federal proposals to advise businesses and governments on how to best achieve robust economic activity. It meets weekly in downtown Long Beach.
