Cable Internet Subscribers Report the Highest Problem Experience

An overall 57% of cable Internet subscribers have experienced a problem with their service in the past 12 months. This is higher than both DSL subscribers (51% problem experience overall) and dial-up (42%) subscribers.

An overall 57% of cable Internet subscribers have experienced a problem with their service in the past 12 months. This is higher than both DSL subscribers (51% problem experience overall) and dial-up (42%) subscribers.
Once the service is set up and running, reliability and customer service is cited as a problem area more often among cable subscribers than DSL subscribers" says Christopher Clegg, President of Lumen Research Associates, LLC. This is a testament to hard work put forth by the ILECs over the past couple years to improve the overall DSL service experience."

Lumen Research Associates, LLC is a survey research company in Rockville, MD. The research cited is based on 580 online responses received over the first 6 months of 2003 (95% ± 4.1%).
