VAMS (Victims Against Modeling Scams) applauds the action of the New York State Consumer Protection Board. Please see VAMS website with full details about this talent scam at http://www.transconscam.com

On Sept. 17, 2003, the New York State Consumer Protection Board held a press conference during Fashion Week in New York's Bryant Park to speak out against the world's most deceptive modeling and talent scam, known as Wilhelmina Scouting Network, Wilhelmina Scouts and Trans Continental Talent.

Several victims were on hand to tell their stories of how they were defrauded and totally deceived by the lies from Wilhelmina Scouting Network.

VAMS also praises Joel Wilkenfeld, President of Next Model Management for speaking out against this scam and helping get the word out on legitimate industry practices.

Wilhelmina Scouting Network is the 8th name in just over 3 years of the world's largest organized financial fraud and talent/model/acting scam.

VAMS has been fighting and exposing the thousands of details and deceptions, crimes and lies for some time now. VAMS fraud investigators have worked with over 2,400 victims from all over the world, a variety of media to help get the word out to warn consumers as well as federal and state law enforcement to bring justice in this very complex case.

VAMS issues alert:

Although there have been over 45 media reports and investigations regarding the fraud at Wilhelmina Scouting Network and Trans Continental Talent, most of these reports have focused on the consumer fraud aspect.

VAMS warns that the consumer fraud is just the tip of the iceberg.

Mike Webber, a spokesperson for VAMS cautions, "The consumer fraud is the most reported on and visible aspect of the scam. However, the other aspects of the scam that cannot be overlooked are the employment fraud going on for years with the "talent scouts" that are used and abused and scout innocent consumers in the street leading to the consumer financial fraud. The company overall is a racketeering operation which VAMS has proof of franchise fraud, securities fraud, money laundering, bank/check and credit card fraud....the list goes on and on. The real and entire story has just started to emerge."

Recently the financial information of over 100,000 consumers was compromised which Lou Pearlman and Greg McDonald of Trans Continental Talent have tried to cover up.

VAMS investigators work around the clock to not only bring the public the truth about all aspects of this very complex scam, but provide free and unlimited help to victims around the world and continue to obtain evidence to put all these people involved in this scam in prison.

Wilhelmina Scouting Network is under multiple state and federal criminal and civil investigation.

Currently, the Florida Attorney General's Economic Crimes Division has over 1,300 complaints from all over the United States and world from victims of this scam.
