THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA PUBLICITY CLUB PROUDLY PRESENTS ITS OCTOBER LUNCHEON MEETING
ON OCTOBER 8

SAN FRANCISCO,CA (PRWEB) September 18 2003--- The San Francisco Bay Area Publicity Club (Pub Club), will host a luncheon with some of San Franciscos leading Food and Wine journalists, including Gene Burns, Host of "Dining Around" and the "Gene Burns Program" on KGO-AM and Narsai David, Food and Wine editor at KCBS Radio. The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 8 at Momos, 760 Second St., San Francisco. The luncheon costs $35 for members and $40 for non-members. Tickets purchased in advance are $30 for members and $35 for non-members, and are available if paid in full by Oct. 3. All non-members must pay in advance to guarantee a seat. Gene Burns joined the KGO-AM NEWSTALK 810 team in March of 1995. In 1996, Gene became the host of the 2 to 4 p.m. slot on weekdays, Monday through Friday and in 1998 he moved to the 7 to 10 p.m. slot. Since May of 1995, Burns has hosted the number one rated, and ever popular food, wine and travel program, Dining Around with Gene Burns, on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burns started his career in 1962, as a news director and reporter at a radio station in upstate New York, followed by positions at stations in York, Penn., Baltimore and Boston. He has since filled the positions of talk show host, news commentator and program director for numerous stations throughout the country.

Narsai David is the Food and Wine Editor at San Francisco's KCBS radio station, broadcasting his secrets of gourmet cooking 36 times a week. Prior to becoming a successful radio host, David opened "Narsais Restaurant" and "Narsais Market," offering an incredible line of specialty foods in addition to his catering and restaurant businesses in the East Bay. Since 1977 David has been hosting TV shows, was the resident chef on KTVUs "Mornings on 2" and wrote the column "California Cuisine" for the San Francisco Chronicle. Narsai's style is one of fundamental basics. The easier he can make a recipe, the more likely it will be successful and useful for the cooks in his audience. David loves giving back to the community and is very involved in many local organizations.
