Intermedia Design announces Helium 2 v1.7, an extensive audio file manager. Supporting most popular audio file formats, Helium 2 is a program for users with just a few audio files or with several thousands who want to keep track of their audio file collection.

Helium 2 is a Windows program for managing and playing your audio files. Helium 2 will facilitate your everyday music management and easily help you with finding that particular song or album. You can browse your entire audio file collection in several different ways. Browse all your albums using the album cover as thumbnail or browse for songs by any information that is stored in your files, such as artist, album, genre, year, or even rating.

Helium 2 is specialized in automated functions, and comes with a large amount of tools and wizards to quickly and easily add artist and album information to your files. The CDDB Wizard will help you to automatically retrieve artist and album information from the online CDDB database. The Lyrics Tag Editor can automatically retrieve lyrics and apply to your files. A function to extract artist and album information from filenames and insert into tags is also included.

Helium 2 is shipped with the freeware Radon player that will let you play your music files and manage multiple playlists. Helium 2 supports audio files in the formats MP3, Ogg Vorbis (OGG), Windows Media Audio (WMA), MusePack (MPC) and MPEG Plus (MP+). Helium 2 stores artist and album information in each file using tags. Helium 2 supports ID3v1, ID3v2, Lyrics3, OGG and WMA tags.
