El Centro band member lives to talk about
Bali Bombing
Steve Crabby" Cabler of El Centro is the sole American to survive the Bali Bombing. Crabby heroically saves the lives of over 200 civilians.
Hollywood, CA -- El Centro front man, Steve Crabby" Cabler, speaks out about his near death experience during the Bali Bombing, his heroism and his bands new album PROHIBIDO.
Upon the completion of their new album, Crabby and El Centros former manager, Steve Webby" Webster, were vacationing on the coast of Bali, Indonesia last October. The two were at the Sari Club, the local surf hangout that was blown up by the rebel forces of Al Qaeda.
Crabby witnessed the deaths of hundreds of innocent people, including his best friend Steve Webster. In a pitch black bar, with his vision and hearing impaired by the blast, Crabby rammed a metal door open and freed the remaining civilians.
Doctors predicted that Crabby would never perform again and that he should abandon the hopes of perusing music. Crabby, however, has made a miraculous recovery and has defied the odds. He has since signed with Bohemia as the bands new management team in addition to signing with indie label Long Live Crime Records, which will be releasing their highly anticipated album, PROHIBIDO, on November 25, 2003, nearly one year after the tragic Bali Bombing.
