Local Boy Returns from Iraq War with the Bronze Star.

Long Beach resident, returns from Iraq after serving with the 101st Airborne Division.

Robert Emanuel, a long time Long Beach resident, recently returned from Iraq after serving with the 101st Airborne Division.

While there he earned both the Army Meritorious Service Medal and the Army Bronze Star.

He deployed to the division in June 2002 and recently returned to his wife Garbielle and 3 childern, Benjamin, Jonathan and Taylor.

He was activated after not "drilling" with a reserve unit for 8 years, yet was still able to seamlessly integrate into the Worlds only Air Assualt Division.

While assigned to the Division he served as an Army Captain and as a Maintenance Test Pilot.
