PEDIATRIC CARDIOLOGY TODAY ® NEWSLETTER LAUNCHED

A new monthly newsletter serving the field of pediatric cardiology

POTOMAC, MD -- (PRWEB) September 21, 2003 -- Pediatric Cardiology Today ® launched its premier issue at the Pediatric Interventional Cardiac Symposium (PICS-VII), September 21-24 in Orlando, FL.

Pediatric Cardiology Today ® is a monthly newsletter and a source of timely information in the field of pediatric cardiology. It is written by physicians, for physicians practicing in the field. The newsletters mission is to provide reliable and timely information on patient therapy, drugs, supporting technologies, products, and services, as well as training opportunities for Pediatric Cardiologists, hospitals and allied organizations which support their practice.

It is published monthly and is available at no charge to qualified physicians. Sitting on the editorial board of the newsletter are well-respected specialists in pediatric cardiology. They are: John W. Moore, MD, MPH, FACC, FSCAI, Mattel Childrens Hospital of UCLA; Ziyad M. Hijazi, MD, MPH, FACC, FSCAI, University of Chicago Hospital and The Pritzker School of Medicine; James C. Perry, MD, FACC, Children's Hospital - San Diego; and Gerald Ross Marx, MD, FACC, Boston Childrens Hospital and Harvard Medical School.

The first issue features articles by the editorial board members. The articles are: Transcatheter Closure of Multi-fenestrated Atrial Septal Defects Using the New Amplatzer Cribriform Device" by Ziyad M. Moore, MD; and The Real Deal: Real-Time 3-D Echocardiography in Congenital Heart Disease" by Gerald R. Marx, MD. In addition to feature articles there will be rotating departments covering a variety of subjects, including information on conferences and symposiums, medical web sites, products, drugs, hospitals, and people on the move.
