PERFORMANCE HOUSE THE GLOBAL PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT AND BENCHMARKING ORGANISATION CARRY OUT DIRECTORY ENQUIRIES STUDY TO UNDERSTAND BUSINESS DECISION MAKING PROCESS
Performance House, in association with the British Institute of Facilities Management, undertake a survey of 118 Directory Enquiry business users.
Following the recent deregulation of the DQ services, business users are facing complex decisions regarding who they choose as their provider, and how this is promoted to staff.
In a survey carried out by Performance House in July 2003, The majority of all users use DQ between 1 and 5 times per month. Nearly 13% of respondents used DQ up to 15 times per month, all of whom were business users.
With 75% of respondents regularly using DQ at work the potential costs for businesses are massive. Based on this survey the costs for one employees average use could range from 12 to more than 34 per month. If a company has 200 employees these costs could range from 2,400 per annum to more than 6,840 per annum depending on who they use and how effective the service is. If the average use increases then the costs could easily spiral.
Choosing the correct provider in the complex DQ market is very difficult only when you understand the complete market offering can you be sure your organisation is not wasting vaste amounts of money" comments Martin Ashfield, Managing Director of Performance House, the deregulation of directory enquiries maybe a good idea to make competition fair for the providers, however businesses are now faced with a complicated set of variables to consider, such as cost, quality, internal policies and in some instances even the location of the provider, before deciding who to use".
To ensure this information is constantly available and of value, Performance House has created 118tracker.com. This online study will answer all the question any shrewd business is asking.
