Excitement, fun and speed will abound in Casa Grande, AZ the weekend of September 27th and 28th, 2003. National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA) Arizona District 02 will be hosting the Gist Silversmiths/Peoria Pontiac GMC 7th Annual Fall Classic Barrel Race, at Woolsey's Walking N Arena. This years NBHA Fall Classic will feature two shows on Saturday the 27th at 10 am and 2 pm in addition to one show at 9 am with award presentations at 2 pm on Sunday the 28th having over $5000.00 in payout and awards. Open, Senior and Youth 4D barrel races along with Pee Wee division races will be held at all three shows. The barrel races will be run on a 4D format, which allows every level of rider and horse to be competitive. The NBHA is a family oriented non-profit organization, where "Beginners Can Be Winners".

The Fall Classic has participants traveling from all over the state of Arizona to compete for cash and prizes. Cash will be paid out to the winners in each go round of the NBHA barrel races. The prizes will be awarded for the winners of the average of the three NBHA races over the weekend. The Open 4D barrel race will have prizes thru 8th place for the average. Gist Silversmith Buckles, Bracelets and Key Chains, Grand Flex joint supplement and Cowboy Magic products are just some of the prizes that will be doled out to the Open average winners on Sunday afternoon. The Senior (50 & Over) barrel racers will also compete to win Gist Buckles and Key Chains, Cowboy Magic products and NBHA logo merchandise, that will be given to thru 5th place in the average. The Youth and Pee Wee riders will make their runs for buckles and various other prizes awarded thru 5th place in the average. Pee Wees will receive an NBHA logo tote bag filled with Foxwise Ergonomic Grooming products. GMnC Braiding will be giving each pre entry for the shows a gift certificate to be used on any of their quality-braided products.

The AZ 02 NBHA district gives barrel racers of any age, gender or experience level a chance to compete in a pleasurable environment for a chance to qualify for local, state, regional and World Championship events held all over the state and country. Ms Barnes has also worked with the local communities, donating her time and knowledge of barrel racing to put on free barrel racing clinics at the City of Phoenix Arizona Horse Lovers Park.
