Manipal Institute Of Technology (MIT) To Conduct An International Workshop On Â?Recent Trends In Lubrication EngineeringÂ?

Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) will be conducting a 5-day International workshop on “Recent Trends in Lubrication Engineering” where Industry Experts will throw light on the emerging trends. This workshop will be spread over 5-days, Monday 24th to Friday 28th November 2003, and will be held at Hotel Valley View International, Manipal.

Lubrication is a vital enabling technology and is an essential ingredient in any machine in which mutually loaded components are in relative motion. This Workshop will help engineering designers, maintenance engineers, R&D and related personnel to take informed decisions at the concept stage of machine evaluation to refine their designs and avoid subsequent problems. It will also provide a suitable background for those considering subsequent research in the topic.

The speakers at the International Workshop are: Dr.Doug Hargreaves, Director of Tribology, Queensland University of Technology, Australia; Dr.Michel Fillon, CNRS Researcher, University of Poitiers, France; Dr.B.C.Majumdar, Professor of Mechanical Engineering, IIT, Kharagpur; Dr.B.S.Prabhu, Director, MIT, Manipal; Dr.Ram Turaga, Dynamics Group, G.E. Ltd., Bangalore and Dr.Raghuvir Pai B, Professor of Mechanical Engineering, MIT, Manipal. All the experts have vast knowledge and experience in providing solutions to problems of the real world in the field of Lubrication Engineering and Tribology.

The Fee for the workshop is Rs. 8000/- (rupees eight thousand only) per delegate, exclusive of Boarding and Lodging.
